Once upon a time I used to be kind of a movie buff. But then with all the streaming services, I started watching TV shows more than anything else and lately the only movies I would make the effort to see were superhero ones, book adaptations (specifically Jenny Han's), or Star Wars. And I know why. It's the same reason why I binge a book series. I love getting to know characters over time and going on a long journey with them. But I do love movies and since I'm home a lot more than usual, I thought I would make list of 10 movies I want to watch during quarantine. Most of these are films I've been meaning to see for a while now and kept putting off for whatever reason. But I certainly I have time now!
- Spider-Man: Far From Home - This is the one time I didn't see a Marvel movie in theatres as soon as it was out! But I had stuff going on at home that summer and I never got around to seeing it.
- Little Women ✅ - I finally watched this over the weekend! I've always had conflicting feelings over this book/1994 movie because I wanted Jo and Laurie to be together and I couldn't stand Amy. But wow, this 2019 version blew me away and made me cry a lot.
- Parasite - I have to see what all the fuss is about!
- Knives Out - My cousin keeps telling me to watch this movie so I put it on the list. (Plus Chris Evans is in it!)
- Call Me By Your Name - An influencer I follow on Instagram just watched this movie and couldn't stop raving about it. It's another movie I was always curious about but never got to watching and she reminded me that I should.
- The Last Five Years ✅ - I watched this last week and while I didn't love it as much as I hoped I would, I thought the concept was great. Also, the opening song Anna Kendrick sings is beautiful.
- The Children’s Hour - I have a list of Audrey Hepburn movies I've been meaning to watch (just 7 more to go until I get through her entire filmography!) and this is on the list.
- Ex Machina - I mean, Oscar Isaac is in it. But in all seriousness, another movie I've been very interested in.
- Endings, Beginnings - I'm here for this angsty romance.
- The Wind Rises - The only Studio Ghibli movie I've seen is Spirited Away, which I saw during college and fell in love with. I asked Alexa to suggest another one for me because she's a huge fan and she (plus Macky!) recommended this one.

What movies have you been watching lately?
Knives Out is great! I have seen it twice. So far while home I have watched Knives Out, Rocketman, The Way Back, and Just Mercy. All were very good.
ReplyDeleteDid you end up watching Knives Out? I watched it last year and really enjoyed it!
