I'm excited to announce that Flights of Fantasy is back! Alexa from Alexa Loves Books and I hosted this annual reading challenge from 2015-2017 but then retired it in 2018. A few months ago we talked about potentially bringing it back for 2020 and I'm so glad we decided to do it. We also decided to invite one of our dear friends - Kristin from Super Space Chick - to join us!
This Flights of Fantasy revival is going to look a bit different though if you're familiar with how we used to host it. For one thing, there's no sign up whatsoever. This is more of a personal challenge for the three of us as friends who love to read fantasy and discuss books with one another. But if you want to join us, feel free to. And if you decide to join, all you have to do is set a personal goal of reading x number of fantasy books and that's it! (In case you were wondering, I'm aiming for 20.)
But for the three of us, we did set some extra goals:
What I'm most excited for is reading each other's fantasy picks! I already know what mine is but I'm curious to see what the other two girls will choose. But we are going to kick things off by reading Beautiful Creatures together with DJ from This Life in Fiction starting this week.

I hope this inspires you to read more fantasy too! We'll probably end up mentioning our progress with Flights of Fantasy casually on our blogs or Instagram accounts so if you want to comment and let us know what you're reading, we'd love to hear from you!
I used to love this challenge, and 2017 was the last year I participated in reading challenges, so we are both back this year! :) I am joining in because fantasy is my favorite.

I'm really glad that we decided to bring back Flights of Fantasy for 2020! It's even better that we've decided to tweak it in a way that really works for us, and I bet we'll all be super successful :)
