If you’ve been following me, then you know I’ve since gotten over those fears and met incredible friends with the wanderlust bug, plus convinced my longtime besties to hop on the bandwagon. But every place I’ve visited since then—like Dublin, Barcelona, and Iceland—were somewhat picked at random. Which I don't regret one bit! But my reasons for choosing those destinations were either based on the price being just right or I had seen something online that made me want to go. And even though I’m constantly looking at photos and thinking to myself that I want to go here or there, I’ve never actually written down what my Travel Bucket List would be. And since I’m serious about traveling abroad at least once a year now, I can’t think of a better time to make one.

I’ve been saying that I want to go to Prague since college but when my best friend asked me why, I couldn’t really give her a straight answer. The truth is, I just have this feeling I would love it. I’m deeply drawn to history and architecture, both of which Prague is known for.
Palawan, Manila | Philippines
I’m Filipino but I’ve never been to the motherland, which I obviously need to fix! I really want to see Palawan which has been voted the most beautiful island in the world multiple times. But I do want to see Manila, even just for a few days, because that's where my family is from.
Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka | Japan
I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to go to Japan! I mean, just thinking about all the sushi and ramen I would eat is making me hungry. Plus I want to visit all the temples and shrines, everything Hello Kitty, their animal cafes and everything its known for (except for karaoke bars).
Amalfi Coast, Italy (credit) |
I knew I wanted to visit Italy for cities like Florence, Venice and Rome but when an old coworker of mine showed me pictures from her trip to the Amalfi Coast, I just fell in love. It's so beautiful and the idea of eating my way through pasta and pizza with that as my view makes me so eager to go.
Santorini | Greece
Don't laugh but I've wanted to go to Santorini ever since I watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies with my best friend. I really hope she and I get to travel there together some day!
Machu Picchu | Peru
Probably the most surprising thing on my list because it's outdoorsy and way more physically strenuous than what I'd normally choose for myself, but I think it would be a life-changing experience. Plus I really do want to visit South America and Peru seems like a great place to start.
Scotland (credit) |
After reading all my highlander romances and watching Outlander, Scotland has made its way onto my list of must-see places to visit. I want to see every castle and hopefully a highlander or two.
New Zealand
I want to go for its natural wonders, landscapes and countryside more so than the city life (which I'm realizing I know nothing about). Also, I absolutely want to visit Hobbiton because I am that much of a nerd.
Sydney, Australia
I have family in Melbourne, so I really have no excuse to not visit one day! I want to see the Sydney Opera House and everything on the harbor plus go hiking and visit the beaches.
Chefchaouen, Morocco (credit) |
There's one place in the United States that's on my bucket list and it's Hawaii. I don't often choose tropical or beach destinations but I know this would be an incredible experience based on what I've seen and heard.
Marrakech, Chefchaouen, Sahara Desert | Morocco
To me traveling is all about experiencing something completely different from my day-to-day life and when I saw photos of Morocco, I thought to myself that this was something I had to experience one day.
Prince Edward Island | Canada
How can I call myself an Anne of Green Gables fan and not want to visit P.E.I.? Their official tourism site even has an Anne specific itinerary that spans three days and that's exactly what I want to do when I visit.

That's my list! Even though there are dozens of destinations I wouldn't mind visit in addition to the ones I mentiones, these are my top 12. What's on your travel bucket list?
Yay for travel bucket lists! I have to reconsider mine since I actually have gone to some of the places I had originally listed on it ;) But I definitely think you need to cross these off one by one when you can.
