Almost exactly 5 years ago, my best friend and I debuted "Rachel & Carina's Infinite Playlist" on the blog and as you've probably noticed, we've had some trouble keeping up with it lately. I've decided to retire the feature (sad, I know!) and replace it with Monthly Melodies. Each month I'll share five songs I'm loving at the moment and hopefully you'll find a song or two (or all of them!) to love as well.
Make It Up to You - Julia Michaels | Lyrics about feeling flawed and a catchy beat equals my favorite kind of song.
Vanille fraise - L'Impératrice | I didn't know what to expect when I saw this song but French House/Electronic was not it. I rarely gravitate towards this genre but this song is 👌
Most Girls - Hailee Steinfeld | I heard the acoustic version first and never bothered to listen to the original until recently. I enjoy both versions but I've been listening to this one a lot lately.
In the Room: Cruisin' - Gallant, Andra Day | When Carina and I went to Smorgasburg, she was playing a lot of songs by Gallant since he's her latest obsession. I decided to check out more of his songs and fell in love with his cover of Cruisin'.
Unchained Melody - Lykke Li | So I actually hate the original song. It stems from my hate for the movie Ghost and my grandmother blasting the song on a regular basis while I was growing up. So no one is more surprised than I am to discover how much I enjoy this cover.

Which song is your favorite?
I really like Most Girls! I've got both the original and acoustic version on playlists, and I just feel like it's a good anthem ;)
