Summer bucket list

Last year I made a summer bucket list and I was surprised by how doing so made me feel incredibly motivated. The mix of writing it down and update the blog with my progress held me accountable and to be honest, it ended up being one of my most memorable summers. Plus, I just love that feeling you get when you cross something off your list! (Or is that just me?)

Regardless, I knew when summer ended that I’d want to make this a yearly tradition so here I am, back with a new list! And at the end of the summer, I'll check back in and let you know what I did and didn't do.

Go to the beach
Plan a weekend getaway
Try at least 5 new ice cream spots
Attend Shakespeare in the Park
Visit a museum I haven’t been to before
Go to Smorgasburg in Brooklyn
Visit 3 indie bookstores
Watch 5 new-to-me Audrey Hepburn movies
Picnic at the park (preferably with a movie!)
Learn a whole song on my ukulele
Try one recipe from my Red Velvet Lover’s Cookbook
Indulge in a spa day
Say yes to something I’d typically say no to

What do you want to do this summer?

  2. Good luck on achieving your goals! It sounds like a great summer plan. Shakespeare in the Park sounds so cool. I have only visited one museum in my city so far and there are so many I have yet to experience. I'd like to visit three more this summer. Hope you have an amazing summer!

  3. I love this list--can't wait to hear your updates! I don't know how much I'll get to but this summer I'd love to see Gulliver's Gate, check out some exhibits at the Met, and visit the new NYC exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York. Nicole and I have been doing our own ice cream tour of NYC and we have some new places scoped out to try. We may also attempt Shake Shack which (gasp) neither of us has tried before. My blog is turning 10 this August and I'd like to have some kind of real life party but I'm not sure I'm up to that level of planning.
