Empire of Storms Blog Tour: Aelin & Rowan Playlist (+ Giveaway!)

I'm pretty sure every single person on this tour has mentioned that major book hangover they experienced after reading Empire of Storms and I was right there with them. As soon as I got my hands on this book, I pretty much read it straight without stopping (work be damned) and it was magnificent. I cried numerous times, laughed out loud, swooned and just fell even more in love with each and every character and the relationships (friendship, romantic, you name it!) between them all. Even though I know Sarah J. Maas will always deliver with each new installment, she still never fails to surprise me with the nuances in her stories and the jaw-dropping twists. It's just not possible for me to adequately put into words just how much I love this series and her writing. It really only gets better and better.

So yes, Aelin is at the heart of it all (seriously, she's my girl). Yes, I love this squad (I had to go there). And yes, I love the female empowerment and the positive friendships between the women in the series. But today, my post is about Rowan and Aelin. Rowan has been in my top three book boyfriends pretty much since his first scene in Heir of Fire. I just knew he would be important but I wasn't sure if he was going to be the romantic interest. Then Queen of Shadows happened and my heart just burst with happiness. And let's just say, the swoon factor for my OTP hits an all-time high in Empire of Storms. So much so that immediately after reading I knew my EOS tour post would be a playlist dedicated to them.
