1. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream
I went here last summer with Estelle. I got the salted caramel and would love to go back soon.
2. L'arte del gelato
I went to the Chelsea Market location which meant lots of good food before ending the day with stracciatella gelato.
3. Davey's Ice Cream
This place was so cute! It's located in St. Mark's Place (another great area for foodies!) and I wanted to try everything. They had ice cream, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, milk shakes and soda floats. But I settled on speculoos (!) chocolate chip with rainbow sprinkles.
4. Melt Bakery
I was walking along the Highline and noticed Melt Bakery. Mainly because they had a huge sign for red velvet ice cream sandwiches. How could I resist?
5. Emack and Bolio's
It's a little bit out of the way for me (82nd and 1st Ave!) but well worth the trek. They have crazy waffle ice cream cones covered in cereal and lots of flavors to try. I settled on their cake batter ice cream with chunks of red velvet cake and it was delicious.

ReplyDeleteI scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream - especially in this heat wave. But I'm seriously happy that I've gotten the chance to try out some of these ice cream spots with you, and hopefully, we get to try out some more this summer!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute (and yummy) post! I'm craving ice cream now.

I hate and love this post because now all I want is some ice cream. Instead, I'm sitting at my desk... with no ice cream in sight. *cries*
