My everyday bag that I carry to work is the Longchamp Le Pliage Large Tote, but I'm writing this post on the weekend so I get to feature a different bag instead! My husband bought me this Kate Spade bag for our anniversary last year, and I'm in love with it. It's the Cobble Hill Little Minka in French Navy, though I don't think the style is available anymore. But I definitely recommend the Cobble Hill leather if you're considering a Kate Spade bag – it’s my favorite!
Here's what you'll find inside:
L.A.M.B. Cosmetic Pouch: I wish Gwen Stefani's brand still existed! I found this pouch at TJ Maxx years ago, and it's been in use ever since. Sometimes it's packed with stuff, but I cleaned it out a little for this post.
Assorted Hair Ties: My hair is really long right now, and I'm constantly pulling it up into a ponytail or messy bun. It's been so hot this summer that I can't stand to have it down. I usually have some bobby pins hanging out in the bottom of my bag, too.
Floss: I have floss in my purse, in my car, in my desk drawer at work... and I don't even like flossing that much! But it's one of those items I'm so happy to have on hand when I need it.
Makeup: There are a few essentials I always have with me: NARS Creamy Concealer, NARS The Multiple, Laura Mercier Secret Concealer, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick and Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. If I'm carrying a smaller bag, I just grab one concealer and lipstick.
Post-It Notes + Pens: I can't remember the last time I used these Post-It notes, so I probably don't need to have them in my bag. But what if one day I want them?! While I've just got one highlighter and pen in my bag right now, I frequently carry a whole pouch of pens. I'm kind of obsessed!
Mirror: I have four or five of these Sephora mirrors, so I've always got one in my purse. I never know when I'll need to check my makeup or see if I have food in my teeth.
Wallet: I treated myself to this Kate Spade wallet last year, and it's one of my favorite purchases. It's the Cobble Hill Lacey, and I believe the color is Empire Grey. This style is exactly what I wanted! I love having two pockets for cash, lots of card slots, and a zippered area for loose change. And I can fit my phone inside, too, when I don't want to carry my whole bag.
Kindle Paperwhite: You better believe that I always have a book with me, which is why I absolutely love my Kindle. I'm addicted to being able to have so many books all in one place, especially since it barely weighs anything at all. It's nice knowing that I always have lots of reading options within reach! Underneath my Kindle is the cute sleeve case I bought from this shop on Etsy.
Foxy Dori: I discovered Foxy Doris a few months ago, and now I can't go anywhere without mine. This one has my blogging May Books in it: my calendar and book notes, brainstorming and ideas, and favorite quotes. I love pretty notebooks! While I’m thankful for my phone and computer, there's something about writing stuff down on paper.
I usually have my car keys in my bag during the day, but I keep them in a little dish by my back door when I'm at home. And I took the photo on my phone, which is the reason it's not included. So, that's a look inside my bag. Thanks for including me, Rachel!
What book (and other cute things) are in YOUR bag right now?
I love your Book Bag posts, Rachel! Taking a peek into other people's bags makes me wonder if you can see a difference between bags from people from different countries/continents? I will now go and empty my bag and see if it differs a lot from Hannah's bag :)
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing what was in your bag, Hannah! Seriously so fun, and we carry a lot of the same things around (which is totally not surprising). I'm obsessed with that bag too ;)
