Monthly feature where I pair books with bags or share what's in a bag (mine or otherwise!) est. 4/2013.
Today, we're getting a peek into Liz's (from Consumed by Books) bag!
Fossil wallet I really like wallets that are kind of a rectangular shape, as opposed to square. I like that this one is spacious enough to hold everything I need it but small enough that I really can’t let it get too crammed. I asked my mother to get it for me for my birthday last year and she kindly obliged. I love the mint color, but the darker blue means that it works in any season.
Purple pouch I know a lot of people carry things like pens, sharpies, stain sticks, breath mints, mirrors, makeup, etc. I try and keep all of those items tucked into this little purple pouch. That way when I go to grab stuff out of my bag, I’m not tossing aside ever pen in my purse while I hunt for what I really need.
iPhone I recently made the switch from an Android to an iPhone and I am so much happier. I like having a phone that matches my tablet and laptop. I always keep a case that looks like the T.AR.D.I.S. on whatever phone I have—it suits my personality and proves to be a great conversation piece.
Vera Bradley ID holder What is one thing that I use just about every single day? My metro card. I picked up this Vera Bradley ID holder when I moved to the city because I wanted to be able to access my metro card easily. This can double as a wallet if I am really trying not to bring much, although I don’t tend to use it that way often.
iPod classic Sometimes a bit of music can get me energized when I’m walking to work or headed home in the evening. I especially love listening to Christmas music in December when everything is decorated for the holidays. Plus, I have a playlist of songs that I like to use in storytimes on there, so I do end up using it for work.
Scarf I get cold super easily, especially in air conditioned buildings, so I always try to slip in this extra layer. I own a ton of scarves, so this changes pretty regularly.
Sunglasses I picked these up at Aldo for $12, which is a pretty good deal if you ask me. They get the job done and are flattering.
My current read Right now I’m working my way through Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers, which is great. I always carry a book because you never know when you’ll get stuck waiting somewhere. If I don’t have a book and I get stuck somewhere, I’ll try and use the Kindle app on my phone. I hate to let good reading time go to waste.

Thanks Liz for doing this guest post!
What book (and other cute things) are in YOUR bag right now?

Totally loving the T.A.R.D.I.S. case!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd same here- always a book in my bag, just in case ;)
I definitely carry a book in my bag (or have something downloaded onto my iPhone or iPad) wherever I go. It's just a comfort for me to know I can reach into my bag and find a book (or two) to keep me entertained during long subway rides, lunch breaks and other free time when I might not necessarily have anything else to do. Also - really cute purse!
