RACHEL • "Jackie and Wilson" by Hozier 

The first songs I heard by Hozier were "From Eden" and "Work Song" back in May and I played them on repeat. Then I heard "Like Real People Do" and played that on repeat, unable to get those lyrics and how he sang it out of my head. And then his album was released this past Tuesday and you guys, I AM IN LOVE WITH IT. It's been so long since I've felt this way about an album. Every song is good, his voice is amazing and earnest and I've been playing it over and over again. I decided to go with with "Jackie and Wilson" since it's new (to me) and it's sort of what I've been looking for lately. Something a little more rock and roll but it also has this bluesy soulful edge to it. Listen to it and then listen to the whole album. You won't regret it!

CARINA • "Never Coming Down" by Willamette Stone (If I Stay Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

If you missed my last song pick, let me introduce you to Willamette Stone - my favorite fictional band - and their lead singer - Jamie Blackley (not so fictional). I have a few favorite movies and thinking back to them - the characters, the storyline, the cinematography - it amazes me how much talent there is and what they can produce. So, it blew my mind (I hate that phrase but it's the best way I can describe my feeling at the moment) when I heard this fictional band. Wish they weren't fictional so they could produce more albums but hopefully, Jamie Blackley will also consider a career in music.
