August Recap

August has been a pretty great month. I had a fun work trip to Austin, TX (and got to meet Magan!), much-needed family outings and get togethers with friends, got the "me" time I've been craving, finished my dining area project and I am on the last day of my 4 day weekend. It's been good! Then on the blog, I got to be more creative than usual, sharing some new bookish features (I'm still thinking about horseback riding.). The only downside to this month? I've been in a major book rut. There's been a couple loves (ISLA!) but for the most part, a lot of my recent reads have been "meh". I don't know if it's just my mood or if it's the books but all I know is, I need to fall in love with a new book ASAP.

Anyway, here's what August has been like on the blog:

  1. Everybody seems to love Sarah Mass' s books and I haven't even read the first one In the series. Will have to change that pretty soon :)

  2. I've been in a book rut this month as well, with books like I've liked but didn't quite blow me away. I am reading Landline by Rainbow Rowell right now though and I think it's going to be the book to pull me out of the rut.

  3. I'm totally with you on the books! I've read some amazing ones (and reread some amazing ones), but for the most part, I've been unimpressed. Here's to hoping we read amazing books this September! And, of course, here's to more amazing adventures <3
