Why I Loved It
A series about zombies in the 1800s? How are you not curious about that sort of premise? It certainly intrigued me and I was hooked from the moment I began reading Something Strange & Deadly. It had one awesome heroine in Eleanor, swoon-worthy moments (um, hello Daniel Sheridan!) and it was action-packed as they battled zombies. It combined paranormal elements, romance and a hint of historical fiction seamlessly. Not to mention, I just loved all the characters! And it's a series that honestly just got better and better with each newly released book. So in case you were wondering, Strange & Ever after is my favorite of the trilogy. And speaking of favorites --
Favorite Character
Eleanor Fitt. From the start I loved how she didn't succumb to what was normal for a "lady in society". She's someone who speaks her mind openly and stands up for what she believes in.
Favorite Scene
The first time Eleanor and Daniel kiss. (And before he ruins the moment by saying it was a mistake!)
Favorite Quote
- “Miss Fitt, you know curiosity gets men killed." I grinned. "Then I daresay it’s good I’m a woman." (There's that Eleanor Fitt sass that I love!)
- “Real love isn’t about drama or heartbreak. Real love just is.” - A Darkness Strange and Lovely (I cheated and chose two but I really love this one!)
