I've played this song a ridiculous number of times since I heard it two days ago. As in I might have put it on repeat for an hour straight? (This is what happens when I get obsessed with a song!) It's a combination of her haunting voice, the melody, the lyrics. Something about it just gets to me.

You got me chasing promises on the horizon
They come and go all these visions come and go
And I keep chasing knowing I will never find it ...

CARINA • "Habits" by Tove Lo

I found this song by literally Googling "catchy indie songs 2013". Don't ask. But I'll tell you anyway. I was in need of new music and.. that's pretty much it. Now I've revealed too much on my Googling habits and my embarrassing use of irrelevant keywords.

Ok. Back to the song. Tove Lo - Scandinavian singer/songwriter with an interesting name. Released her first single just a few weeks ago and with the use of the keywords "catchy + indie" together, I happened on my song pick for this week. Definitely catchy. As for "indie", I'm not entirely sure if that applies. Come to think of it, I'm not entirely sure what makes a song "indie" but good song, nonetheless. I thought so anyway.
