I was playing Tori Kelly's new EP, Foreword, while working and I have to admit, I was listening. But I wasn't really listening. The overall mood of her songs was mellow and catchy with that acoustic singer-songwriter vibe going on. And I figured - probably mostly singing about love. Then "Daydream" came on and I heard these words:

Don’t forget to breathe
Who you want to be is only up to you 
Sometimes you may crawl (and you're gonna get back up again)

Cause it’s so worth the fall when you land where you want to

Call it perfect timing but it was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment.

CARINA • "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus (Cover by Jasmine Thompson)

This is my second Miley Cyrus pick (you're allowed to gasp. I sure did when I came to that realization). Am I becoming a fan? Far from it! But I must admit, I really liked this song when I first heard it. Is it due to my love for sappy sad love songs? Most likely. Also, I really like the lyrics and when I heard this version, I liked it even more. This girl's voice is just so beautiful and heartbreaking. Perfect for this song.
