RACHEL • "Hearts Like Ours" by The Naked and Famous
"There's an animal inside / There's a fear that won't subside / Of all the things I'll never do / Will I ever follow through?" Every time I've listened to this song, that's the part I always find myself listening to carefully. The song is about feeling scared and insecure, something you wouldn't guess if you were just listening to the music but not the words. I've always liked songs like that and the more I think about it, the more I think the the beat matches the tone of their lyrics. It starts off with this beat that gets increasing louder and more catchy as she sings on. Like letting out her fears makes her feel better. It's just been the perfect song to listen to lately.



CARINA • "Better Days" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
This song has been on repeat since I first heard it a few days ago. It's one of those songs that puts me in a calm mood and reminds me of conversations with a good friend. I like the part where he sings, "Just know that every time I look in your eye, I see better, I see better, better days.."

    OMYGAHHHH! I love The Naked and Famous! I didn't know they had a new song. I love it so much! Same here- I like songs that make me hear past the music and more into the lyrics.
