BookBags (3): YAGB Edition

Monthly feature where I pair books with bags or share what's in a bag (mine or otherwise!) est. 4/2013.

It's been a little over a week since BEA and I thought it would be fun to pick authors I had met. And of course, the first people to come to mind were Susan Dennard, Sarah J. Maas, Kat Zhang and Erin Bowman - the lovely ladies of the Young Authors Give Back tour.

(1) Something Strange & Deadly by Susan Dennard + Marc by Marc Jacobs tote

Considering the amount of gushing I've done lately about this book, I knew I had to find the right bag and luckily I saw this Marc Jacobs tote. I've actually thought about buying it before (cause it's cute, good in the rain and did I mention cute?) but I've never seen the print I featured above. If I ever do though, there's a 99.9% chance I would buy it. It's fun and colorful and matches perfectly with SS&D.

(2) Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas + Furla Candy Satchel

I've actually tried to include Throne of Glass in my first BookBags post and even the second but I could never find a bag that matched the original hardcover. Then Alexa brilliantly suggested I use the new paperback cover instead and literally ten minutes later, I saw this bag from Furla and nearly jumped for joy. I love how the gradient matches! 

(3) Taken by Erin Bowman + Kate Spade Chelsea Market Small Coal

Of this list, this is the only book I haven't read yet (but plan to very soon!) and the only author I didn't get to formally meet (hopefully next time!). But I really wanted to include Taken in this edition. It felt wrong not to! I expected this to be the hardest cover to match because of the orange and green tones, so imagine my surprise when it turned out to be the easiest. I was looking at the Kate Spade site already and when I saw the colors on this bag, I just knew. 

(4) What's Left Of Me by Kat Zhang + Coach Ashley Signature Tote

Of course, the bag I thought would be the easiest, turned out to be the hardest! I must've checked more than five different sites but I couldn't find a purse with the right shades of grey and pink. Until I remembered Coach. I can't believe I didn't think of them immediately. This tote had just the colors I had in mind and it's super cute.
