RACHEL • "You Know What I Mean" by Cults
I was listening to the Cults' album and what immediately caught my attention about this song was the old school vibe. I could just picture slow dancing with someone to this song (gosh I can't remember the last time I did that!). Even now when I listen to it, I can't help but sway a little bit. Then you get to that chorus with its unexpected beat.. and that's when I started putting this song on repeat. (Hey, that rhymed!) I love just how she sings those four lines: "Cause I am afraid of the dark light, yeah you know what I mean. And I can't sleep alone sleep alone at night, yeah you know what I mean..." Hopefully you will too!

I have a select group of go-to artists that just seem to know how to put my feelings into song. I can't believe it took me 3 posts to mention her - my pick for this week is Flo. Why? Simply because SHE IS AMAZING. My absolute number one favorite song is Cosmic Love but I will leave that for another future post…
Drumming Song is my song for the week. I love blasting this song with my headphones on. I know, not very good for my eardrums (pun not intended), but it's just one of those songs you can't ignore and must be listened to, LOUDLY. No need to further explain how I relate to this song because the lyrics speak for itself. So, if you're curious to know, go ahead and hit play.
