My thoughts ...
One sentence summary: A short story collection about the life of Jane Rosenal as she struggles with growing up, love and work.
The good: I like the way the book was set up. Each short story was a different glimpse into Jane's life at various stages of her life - at 14, 16, 20s, etc. I have to admit, I couldn't really relate to her or most of her decisions but I liked her voice as the protagonist. She's smarter than she gives herself credit for, sarcastic and funny in that dry humor kind of way.
The bad: Nothing bad. It was straightforward and a very clear look into the main character's life. I just wanted to relate to Jane more.Do I recommend?: Yes, I do recommend it. It's a book I've always been curious about but never got around to. Thanks to Estelle I finally have :)
Happy reading!
It has such a curious title - I'd definitely want to check it out just because of that.
